Our story starts in a small Chicago apartment.
Hi, I’m Liv - the founder and owner of Studio Chéri.
The idea came to me in 2020. I was sitting in my 1 bedroom apartment, at the kitchen counter. I was on my laptop, eating a cheap frozen waffle. I was staring into the lifeless soul known as Adobe Illustrator, adding the ingredients list to a skincare brand’s bottle packaging when I realized, “I can do way more than just this”.
So I got started with the idea, but it just started as a small concept. Small scale freelance services came first, with many inquiries coming from those in my network that knew I could do what they were looking for.
Flash forward to the summer of 2024: I found myself burnt out from a job that I enjoyed, but again, wasn’t able to give me the creative freedom I yearned for. I knew what I had, so I went with it. I decided to go full time with my studio, because it needed me, and I needed it.
My clientele grew rapidly, and my skills continue to grow. What started at my old kitchen counter, grew into what is now known in 2026 as Studio Chéri (formerly Branded by Liv),
Passion pushes me forward.
From building websites that draw the eye to designing the perfect logo and brand kit, or even crafting email and SMS campaigns that bring in real conversions, bringing ideas to life is how I fill my cup. As a professional, I’ve always found it best for your purpose to align with your passion. Luckily, that’s the case for me.
Why Chéri?
My father(Eric) passed away in 2020, shortly before I graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Chéri is the masculine use of the term in French, and it has a few meanings: dear, darling, beloved.
My beloved father (also known as mon chéri to myself) always pushed me to act on my creative side throughout college. Sometimes, when I refer to him to those that knew him, I refer to him as mon chéric (a play off of his name, and who he was to me).
Because of our wonderful relationship, it was important for me to give a soft tribute to my father with the studio.
Our studio is whatever you want it to be for you. We offer agency-style services for brands and lots of trinkets + keepsakes for the shopper who has a vision.

Studio Chéri is a place where design, marketing and branding come together with something a little more personal: a shop full of things I've curated, created, or fallen in love with along the way. Vintage finds, custom art, keepsakes for the sentimental ones. Because that's who I am too.
